The MicroSloth...er, MicroSoft and Apple relationship is one based on mutual need: Apple needs a behemoth like MS to steer business it's way. And MS needs an innovative, highly-respected company like Apple from which to appropriate ideas.
And I don't refuse to use MS products based on some misguided principle, but rather on common sense. Buggy, insecure bloatware doesn't serve my needs.
