iBook repair program expands

Email This Entry

Posted by Sandy

Apple has expanded its iBook repair program to cover units made between May 2002 and October 2003. Affected systems have symptoms related to bad video (e.g. lines on the screen, video freezes and stuttering) caused by a problem with the logic board.

The program now covers iBooks with serial numbers between UV220XXXXXX and UV342XXXXXX. Apple will also reimburse affected customers who have already paid for repairs related to the logic board issue. If your iBook is less than three years old, check your serial number to see if this program applies to you.
