Cult of Mac
Posted by Sandy
I just spent an hour exploring Leander Kahney's book The Cult of Mac.
One sentence review: I wish I had thought of this.
The Cult of Mac combines Mac history and culture with beautiful photography and a great, eye-catching cover. The result is the perfect coffee table book; a handsome volume that can be read cover to cover or sampled and explored one section at a time.
If I didn't already have a copy, I would want it the way I want (but do not need) a Griffin PowerMate. This is a perfect Christmas gift for the Mac fan on your list. It's expensive enough to impress, but significantly less costly than an iPod mini.
I was a bit disappointed to find plain black under the fancy cover. Perhaps the publisher can produce a brushed aluminum finish for the inevitable second printing, suitable for collectors and hard-core Mac cultists.

How are things going for iTunes in Canada, now it's nearly not November?
I don't think any timeframe at all has been mentioned for that place so frequently confused with Austria (which I see is inside the tent), Australia.
Sigh.
Sadly songless in Sydney.

Sorry if it seems OT, but all the other posts told me that 'comments were not permitted' on them. This relates to the cutting off of Canadian access to iTunes.
