All well and good except pervasive connection to the internet is not yet practical, even in the most developed countries of the world. Moreover, the WebOS becomes just as expensive as a regular OS when access charges are factored in. For small devices and "look-up" devices (such as GPS, maps, information, etc), a WebOS makes some sense since information needs to be accessed anytime, anywhere. So a cell phone/mp3 player/PDA format might fit nicely with the concept - as long as pervasive access can be guaranteed.
